We meet our students at the test centre 1.5 hour before test time to do the 1 hour refresher, arrangements must be made for pick up and drop off.
Road tests that take place outside of Ottawa will cost more depending on how far the drive test is.
We accept payments for your desired packages through e-transfers to info@ottawasafedrivers.ca
Our Vehicles
We can provide rental cars at your chosen location within the city. However, you must make arrangements in advance for remote areas.
LOCATIONS
1. Visit the Official Website:
Go to DriveTest.ca and click the “Book a Test” button.
2. Enter Your Details:
Provide your email address, driver’s license number, and its expiry date, then submit the form.
3. Confirm Your Email:
Check your inbox for a confirmation email and click the link to verify your account.
4. Re-Enter Your Details:
Once verified, return to the website and re-enter your driver’s license number and expiry date.
5. Choose a Test Location:
Select a DriveTest center that’s most convenient for you.
6. Check Availability:
Browse the schedule to select a suitable date and time. Take into account rush hour traffic, as it may affect your driving experience.
7. No Availability? Keep Trying!
If no appointments are available, check back regularly. New slots may open, so it’s a good idea to repeat the process several times throughout the day.
G2 License
The G2 test will take place in residential and business roads. The G2 road test will examine:
– Your driving skills (steering, gas and break)
– Knowledge of road rules and regulations
– Driving techniques
– Observation skills
– Judgment skills
– Lane changes
– Decision making
– Front parking
– Reverse parking
– Parallel parking
– Three-point turn
– Uphill parking (with and without curb)
– Downhill parking (with and without curb)
G License
The full G road test will take place in residential, business and highway roads. The G road test will examine:
– Your driving skills (steering, gas and break)
– Knowledge of road rules and regulations
– Driving techniques
– Observation skills
– Judgment skills
– Lane changes
– Decision making
– Front parking
– Reverse parking
– Parallel parking
– Three-point turn
– Emergency roadside stop
– Highway merging & exiting
You can rent a car for practice sessions before your road test. Please contact us to arrange this.
Per provincial regulations, you must meet the minimum age requirement, 16 years old, with a G1 License.

Yes, all our rental vehicles have dual brake systems for added safety.
While we try to accommodate specific requests, car availability may vary. We provide well-maintained cars suitable for road tests.
You can book a car rental through our website or by calling our office. We recommend booking in advance to ensure availability.
Yes, a deposit may be required at the time of booking. This will be refunded upon the safe return of the vehicle.
